Where Who and Why

Where is the world? Is it on the internet? Is it out there on the streets? Is it the people you see everyday? Is it your firends? Your relatives? Where are you? Meaning, where am I? Am I in my body? Where do I look for that? The other? The forfillment? The purpose? Do I find You in a book? Do I find You at all? Do I wander here and there in a kind of forgetfulness, never quite finding but never quite looking? But then when will I look if not now? And when will I find if not Now? What are You, that fills me up? And to know you are there yet not feel you how is that? No wonder we find ourselves looking in all the wrong places? Are you in the food I eat? The cigarettes I smoke? The people who are around me? Do I see You in them? Do they know they are You in them to me, and I You to them? Otherwise why? It is not philosophical, I feel this how can our feelings be philosophical? Did someone teach my emotions philosophy at university? Is it the feeling that is giving the lecture? Well one just knows You are there simply because I am here and if I am here then you are here. You have to be and they all say so anyway. I can take their word for it, I can be that bold. But it hurts me if I don't ask for myself, how could it be any other way? Was I planning to leave myself out of the equation when it was my own yearning that brought me to ask the question. I know I am not that yearning alone, but in a way I am this sentence. The journey goes on, I don't think it ever really ends, though I must have started somewhere? Don't remember when that was, and I keep finding things and going places so I am clearly moving. I wouldn't like to not move. Yet I keep finding out I have it all wrong. But that is the realisation that I have it. So yeah that sounds good. Amen.

Why did he do it

He did it for fame, he did it for honour, And that was his reward, He did it for the filthy dollor, And that was his reward, He didn't use his life for others, in service to the Lord, So he had it all to himself, In darkness with closed doors.

Chant

Chant Chant Chant I only want to chant, how can I chant more? Oh I hear your name Whisper it again Glory to the Pancha Tattva now we start again, Chanting out aloud, Love is sure to rise, Like living yeast, devotion raises the bread of Truth, in the heat of Your Holy Name.

Divine Truth

The Divine Truth is all around us, he lives and breaths existance. He smiles and laughs and cares for us always. Oh the joy it brings to ones heart when they are aware of his constant care and attention to us. The Lord does not throw anyone into hell, people put themselves in hell by their state of mind and their actions. The Lord is Love, he cares for us always and always is bringing us towards him, he never throws us away. He laughs and smiles. He talks to us if we listen, maybe we dont hear him now, but we will, and we will see him if we really want to, we will get there in the end if our intention remains in the direction of Love and Truth. All good comes to those who look to the Lord, the Lord arranges even their mistakes to be blessings. We must never forget what others do for us, like the Lord rewards all many times over for the love they give him. There is nothing to worry about, just always trust in the Lord and his servants and the angels that are in our company, Glory to them. Amen Om

Light of the World

Where are You? the light of the world, everything is empty. I hear music but it is like a morgue, Where is the sound of your ankle bells? I hear people talking and laughing but they are just murmurings in a dark place. How have I fallen unto this hollow, where you appear as an absence? Everyone is painting but they cant see the canvas. Nothing is anything, please let me chant your Name.

Association with Heaven or Hell

The principle of association is really a beautiful thing, one should learn early in spiritual life to avoid bad company, like is said one knows a man by the company he keeps. But what about the company one keeps on the mental level. We learn from Bhaktivinode Thakur that the heavenly and hellish worlds are emanations from a particular potency of the Lord, this creation inacts in such a way as in an interaction with the human mind who is in freedom. The contents of our mind is the result of what Emanuel Swedenborg calls influx. In a atheistic naturalist influx is primarily ascribed to the senses of the body and the external world. One who is a little elevated in spiritual life ascribes influx to the spiritual world. The first teaching of yoga is that we are not our bodies, further we are not our minds either. Understanding influx helps the process of disindentifying with the mind because one comes to understand that what enters the mind enters from either Heavenly or Hellish societies. Likewise we first learn to be mindful of the association of our bodies with other physical beings as we are in the process of disidentifying with our bodies, further we can learn to watch our association on the level of the mind as we are disindentifying with our subtle body. It is beautiful that one has the opportunity to avoid the association of hell even when one is not directly met with it in any particular physical scenario, one simply recognisises the thought - that is not heavenly influx - and chooses to disassociate from it, as this battle is won the opposing heavenly state is 'plugged in' in its place. In this way a persons mind can be gradually raised into love by the understanding of the will. One should chant and always remember the Lord and his devotees, because by chanting their names and remembering them we are associating with them and their good qualities.
